Water Restrictions LEVEL 2
Effective August 1st, 2026
Outside Watering One Day Per Week
Lake Durango Water Authority (LDWA) has instituted Stage 2 water restrictions effective August 1st. This is due to ongoing drought conditions and LDWA's project to refurbish its main 400,000 gallon tank. During the two month project, LDWA will be limited in water it can distribute as it will run off auxiliary tanks while the main tank is offline. Durango West 1 is required to follow LDWA’s restrictions.
Stage 2 Water Restrictions: Outside watering is limited to two hours, one day per week (before 9 am or after 6 pm). Hoses may be used but may not be left unattended without sprinkler head or control device (open running hoses may not be left unattended). Car/boat/recreational vehicle washing is not permitted. Except for livestock, no filling of tanks or ponds is permitted. Swimming pools, koi ponds, waterfalls, or any type of landscaping ponds may not be filled. Excess water will not be allowed to run down driveways, ditches, or roads. Watering potted plants with pails, buckets, or watering cans is allowed at any time.
Effective August 1, 2026 LDWA Stage 2 Restrictions will be in place
