Fire Mitigation
 

Durango West has regularly preformed fire mitigation for many years. Currently a very large project is in process at the water tank area. While it is sad to see so many trees cut down, it was necessary to minimize fire risk and help homeowners with insurance costs and availability.

Firewood is available for FREE! You must have the ability to haul away large logs to be cut on your own property.

The following notice is a scheduled burn that will happen when safest conditions allow, per the Durango Fire Department's decision.
